  • Friendly staff, beautiful rooms and perfect location

I stayed here last month for the first time and I will definitely be returning on my next visit to Newcastle!
After checking in I had a lovely chat with the owner, Sheila, who was very helpful and pointed me in the direction of the bus stops to get me into the city centre for the day.
The room I was in was perfect; it was clean, beautifully decorated and the bathroom was spacious and well lit. I was very happy to be staying there for three nights.

  • A Secret Luxury…

Hidden away in the leafy and quiescent avenue of Gosforth lies an incredible hidden gem… I’m quite critical of hotels, however This place ticked every box you need to make a stay for the night simply wonderful.

We were greeted by a wonderful receptionist who was very polite and friendly, our queries were answered courtesously and quickly by the night porter and finally the following day I was introduced to the lovely lady (Sheila) who makes this ship run as smooth as silk.

The Townhouse has a very welcoming and warm atmosphere too – perfect to wind down from a hard day of shopping/sightseeing.

We stayed in room 9 and fell asleep peacefully to the sound of tweeting birds and the sigh of a gentle breeze.

Room 10/10 (very clean and beautifully presented)
    Cleanliness 10/10
    Service/Hospitality 10/10

    Will definitely visit again!

  • Excellent

Stayed for one night on business trip. Hotel is ideally placed and short walk to pubs and bars of Gosforth. Nice modern feel to hotel and staff bent over backwards to help you. Room was clean and followed the modern funky feel.

Highly recommended and would return if in this area again.

  • Lovely hotel

Stayed here with my husband for the 3rd time and cannot fault the place. Staff were friendly, room was very clean and food was to a high standard. Great location and everything you need in walking distance.

  • Overnight stay

We stayed for one night & were made to feel extremely welcome, we checked in a little late which wasn’t a problem for the night porter, our room was very clean & comfortable.
The hotel is situated just off the high street with plenty of pubs & restaurants to chose from. A lovely boutique hotel.

  • Comfortable and welcoming

Recently in Newcastle with two colleagues for a business meeting, and stayed at the Townhouse- I would highly recommend this hotel, very welcoming staff who gave us the rundown on the nearby restaurants and pubs… and a relaxed environment for us to get our thoughts together before the meeting.
First Class – well done all

  • Amazing hidden gem

I have stayed here several times over the past few months as it’s the closest, nicest place to my family when I come to visit.
All of the rooms I have stayed in are always very clean, fresh and nicely presented. The staff are excellent, friendly and always appear genuinely happy to see you- nothing is ever too much trouble for them.

Overall, I cannot praise this place enough, it’s excellent location (convenient for both Newcastle city centre and the vibrant Gosforth High Street) combined with the truly wonderful staff make it a genuinely lovely place to stay. I look forward to my next visit.

  • Beautifully Decorated and Very Welcoming

Had a super stay at the Townhouse, was welcomed when I arrived quite late and given good recommendations on where to eat nearby. There are lots of places just around the corner.

The room had the comfiest bed I have ever had in an hotel and the room itself was very pleasant, nice touch with cafetière for coffee in the room, and there was a hairdryer too, which saved the day as I had left mine at home.

The breakfast room is absolutely stunning, beautifully decorated, with some really distinctive touches. Didn’t catch the name of the owner at breakfast but she was very pleasant and chatty, too.

Will, most definitely, be back to stay soon.
