Short overnight stay, found the room very comfortable and the staff to be friendly and not too imposing. On the plus side: the rooms, the location, the breakfast and the honesty bar. Lovely toiletries and caffetiere of real coffee in the room was a nice touch!

I reviewed a number of hotels on the internet before selecting this one. I am pleased that I did. Very enjoyable experience. Stayed 4 nights and had no complaints whatsoever. I stayed in Room 3 which was very well-presented and comfortable.

The staff were polite, attentive and helpful (the service was personal but never intrusive). Internet access was also available to guests at no extra charge.

I was on vacation for a week in Northumberland and found this wonderful hotel on the internet. It's the best place I've stayed in. Close to Newcastle city center, 5 minutes with the bus, very quiet and nice area.
Everything was perfect: the room was beautiful with design interior; the bed was the best bed I've ever slept in and the pillows soft and four of them. It was the best place ever and I felt really taken care of - you were all so kind and helpful. Room and bed was heaven on earth as well as the food. You made my week memorable for the rest of my life. Thank you and I do hope to see you soon again.

I arrived on a cold, wet, snowy November evening to be greeted warmly and by name. I was shown to my room and a toothbrush was found for me as I'd realised on the journey that I'd forgotten to pack mine. The room was of a good size; warm, quiet and comfortable with good en suite facilities. Leaf tea and ground coffee were also provided. I sampled the 'honesty' bar later that evening and slept well. Breakfast was cooked to order and very good.

I liked the hotel because it felt, for once, as if someone was trying to get it right because they cared, rather than because their employer had given then a checklist for customer service.

Needed somewhere for one night and found The Townhouse on the web. It was even better than the website suggested and we'll definitely return. Easy access to town, but plenty of eating/drinking options very close by. Room was lovely and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. No quibbles at all!

We stayed at the Townhouse to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary & had such a nice time we will definitely come back. We stayed in the cheapest room but it was a good size & beautifully decorated. The Bose sound system was a nice touch. Breakfast was lovely & we also ate at Adriano's as recommended on your website, it was great.

Gorgeous hotel, great value for money!

A one-night stay in a stylish, immaculately presented hotel with friendly, attentive service which makes guests feel special. A real contrast to some of the cheaper hotels in nearby Jesmond and well worth the extra money!
This is a classy, boutique hotel which is friendly and welcoming. Beutifully decorated bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas. Excellent food and service - nothing is too much trouble for the staff. A thoroughly enjoyable experience!
